VESAK DAY CELEBRATION WITH LABYRINTH WALK & CACAO CEREMONY!

The Day of Vesak commemorates Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death. This annual celebration occurs on the day of the Full Moon iis year is on May 12th during the lunation in Scorpio.

On this day, we celebrate the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, known as Buddha (enlightened one) who spread compassion, peace and goodwill to all life. His teachings are acknowledged worldwide for over 2,500 years through the practice of Buddhism.

A Labyrinth is a pattern of pathways that weave in a circle to arrive to its center. A labyrinth walking meditation consist of entering a labyrinth, following its path to the center and exiting the way we came. This quiet walk or moving meditation helps us to integrate body, mind, and spirit. The labyrinth represents our life’s path, walked in a state of self-reflection and awareness. During this meditative walk we take a self-discovery journey of the values that guide our lives.

Ceremonial Cacao has been used for centuries in many cultures as a healing ally to let go of heavy emotions locked in the body, while activating the sacred heart center.

Our time together will be dedicated to stepping into the threshold of ritual, magic and transformation by receiving the gift of Ceremonial Cacao as a “heart opener” from where we can become the container of Love. With an open heart, we’ll silently walk on the sacred labyrinth while being fully engaged on a journey of self-reflection, illuminated by the light of the Scorpio Full Moon. With divine guidance we can embody the attributes of right mindfulness, love and compassion as shared by the sacred Buddha!

IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT CEREMONIAL CACAO:

• The cacao we honor is 100% Peruvian cacao, ceremonial grade, organic and, vegan.
• A cacao ceremony is a type of Shamanic Healing, but it doesn’t produce “hallucinogenic” or out of body effects.
• Cacao is not sustainable for anyone with chocolate, nut, chili or spice allergies.
• Cacao is not recommended for anyone with heart conditions or high blood pressure, as cacao increases blood flo9w to the brain and the heart.
• Do not take cacao if you take high doses or SSRI/anti-depressant medications and/or suffer from severe mental illness. If you’re sensitive to caffeine or if pregnant (especially 1st trimester.)
• If any of the above applies to you, a “rose tea” option can be available so you can still highly benefit from the energy of the circle and other activities. Please send your request!

• This is an outdoor circle for women, men and children 10 and up.
• We ask you to arrive at 6:15 pm to get settled and start on time.
• Bring a chair and any sacred item(s) you’d like to place on the altar.
• Bring water to drink in a closed container.
• We suggest nourishing yourself after the circle, by enjoying a relaxed rest of your day.
• Do not eat a big meal prior to the ceremony.
