WALKING AN INSPIRED PATH ON THE SUTTER BUTTES!

March 29 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

$50

“The mountains are calling and I must go” ~ John Muir

Throughout human history, cultures have revered certain mountains as sacred living beings with the ability to activate our connection with the divine, to trigger a sense of inner peace, to receive spiritual messages, and to be initiated in the path of a higher service, as in the case of the Peruvian tradition.

Join us to explore the land of the sacred Sutter Buttes (AKA Middle Mountain,) recognized as the “world’s smallest mountain range.” They contain a ten-mile wide circle of volcanic peaks that are dramatically isolated in the center of the Sacramento Valley.

Prior to the Gold Rush era, the Sacramento Valley, specifically the Yuba Sutter region, was the homeland of the Maidu and Wintun native people, who considered this land a “sacred” place of deep respect and spiritual and physical sustenance.

Our time in nature will be inspired by the season of spring, a “Time of New Beginnings,” which invites us to allow freshness, newness, and creativity into our lives. To honor this land and this season, we’ll create a “despacho” offering in the Andean tradition while being held in the sacredness of the mountain!

A despacho is an offering made to the spirits of the mountains (apu kuna,) mother earth (pachamama,) and other spirits of nature in sacred reciprocity (ayni.) At the deepest level, it is an opportunity to enter into union with the living energy of the universe.

Energy Exchange: $50 (non-refundable but transferable)
