AUTUMN EQUINOX CEREMONY WITH SACRED CACAO & DESPACHO OFFERING!

The Autumn Equinox marks the turning inwards, the beginning of darkness, a time of contemplation and rest!

Our circle will be guided by Ceremonial Cacao, which has been used for centuries in many cultures as a healing ally to let go of heavy emotions locked in the body, while activating the sacred heart center. With an open heart we’ll commune with our Mother Earth in the Spirit of Ayni or sacred reciprocity represented in our despacho offering.

Join Mariscela and Theodore in sacred ceremony to walk the journey from light through twilight into darkness. During our time together we will:

• Open a sacred container by calling the assistance and blessings of the directions in the Native American tradition.
• Create and intimate moment of self-reflection while opening the heart during “Cacao Ceremony.”
• Create a “despacho” offering in the Andean tradition, as a prayer bundle to honor and connect with Mother Earth.
• Celebrate our sacred ceremony while drumming and chanting.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW ABOUT CEREMONIAL CACAO:

• The cacao we honor is 100% Peruvian cacao, ceremonial grade, organic and, vegan.
• A cacao ceremony is a type of Shamanic Healing, but it doesn’t produce “hallucinogenic” or out of body effects.
• Cacao is not sustainable for anyone with chocolate, nut, chili or spice allergies.
• Cacao is not recommended for anyone with heart conditions or high blood pressure, as cacao increases blood flo9w to the brain and the heart.
• Do not take cacao if you take high doses or SSRI/anti-depressant medications and/or suffer from severe mental illness. If you’re sensitive to caffeine or if pregnant (especially 1st trimester.)
• If any of the above applies to you, a “rose tea” option can be available so you can still highly benefit from the energy of the circle and other activities. Please send your request!

• Space is limited to 12 participants, so please register on time.
• This is and INDOOR circle for women, men and children ages 10 & up.
• We ask you to arrive at 2:45 pm to get settled and start on time.
• Do not eat a big meal prior to the ceremony.
• Bring your drums & rattles or any sound maker.
• Please drink plenty of water before and after taking the sacred cacao.
• Bring anything you would like to place in the altar to be charged with the power of our circle.
• Bring water to drink in a closed container.
• We suggest nourishing yourself after the circle, by enjoying a relaxed rest of your day.
