Plants and herbs can be used not only for their medicinal properties but also for their spiritual affinities. \nExamples include the Japanese Tea Ceremony in Zen Buddhism\, Sacred Cacao for Mayan and Aztec civilizations\, the use of sage for purifying spaced and people in Native American practices\, the olive tree branch\, and oil in Christianity and Judaism. \nWe’ll begin with a Sacred Cacao Ceremony\, which has been practiced for centuries as a healing ally to release heavy emotions locked in the body\, while activating the sacred heart center. With an open heart we open our true connection with the spiritual sense of Self\, with others\, and with nature. \nNext\, we’ll explore the spiritual qualities and gifts of several herbs.
